К какому истинному обучению должны стремиться студенты? Бхагаван напоминает нам об этом по случаю 42-го созыва Института высшего образования Шри Сатья Саи.

Студенты должны стараться развивать скрытые в них способности. Современные образованные люди верят в то, что они читают в романах и газетах, что они видят в фильмах, и даже в причудливые слова прохожего. Но они не верят в Бога. Это большая беда. Те, кто верит словам астролога или пурохита, не доверяют словам Веда Маты (Божественной ведической матери), которая научила четырем великим истинам: "Tat twam asi, Prajnanam Brahma, Aham Brahmasmi, Ayam Atma Brahma" (Ты есть То, Сознание есть Брахман, Я - Бог, Это Я является Всеобщим Я), которые гласят: "О сын мой, ты сам есть Брахман (Абсолютная Истина)". Образованные люди тратят свою жизнь впустую, развивая веру в мелочные мирские вещи и отказываясь развивать веру в мудрость, которую можно обрести с помощью божественной силы и духовного знания. Именно для того, чтобы дать истинное, идеальное образование и сформировать из студентов идеальных граждан для служения стране, и были созданы учебные заведения Сатья Саи. - Божественная беседа, 22 ноября 1984 г.

Диплом сам по себе не означает образования. Вместе со знанием естественных наук необходимо приобрести смирение, дисциплину и хороший характер.

What is the true learning that students must aspire for? Bhagawan reminds us on the occasion of the 42nd Convocation of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.

Students should try to develop the powers latent in them. The educated men of today believe in what they read in novels and newspapers, what they see in films, and even in the whimsical words of a passerby. But they have no faith in God. This is a great misfortune. Those who believe in the words of an astrologer or a purohit, do not trust the words of the Veda Mata (Divine Vedic mother), who has taught the four great truths: "Tat twam asi, Prajnanam Brahma, Aham Brahmasmi, Ayam Atma Brahma" (Thou Art That, Consciousness is Brahman, I am Divine, This Self is the Omni-Self), which declare: "O son, you are Brahman (Absolute Truth) itself." The educated waste their life by developing faith in petty mundane things and by refusing to develop faith in the wisdom to be gained by divine power and spiritual knowledge. It is in order to impart true, ideal education, and mould the students as ideal citizens for the service of the country that the Sathya Sai Educational Institutions have been set up. - Divine Discourse, Nov 22, 1984.

Degrees alone do not signify education. Together with the knowledge of the natural sciences, one has to acquire humility, discipline and a good character.
